P. T. A. council to make all necessary
arrangements There are six insti
tutes being held in the state. Port
land's will be a week In length;" Ash
land and Pendleton have three days;
Monmouth two, unci Eugene and
Koseburg each have one day.
W-. J. Fullerton and family of Vic
torvllle are among the recent arrivals
in Ashland. They are here through
the efforts of the land settlement rep
resentative, Arthur Foster. ,
Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Turner have re
turned from a vacation trip of a num
ber of weeks. Both are looking espec
ially well. Mi0 Turner was very ill
fur a long time in the winter, and the
iange has been most beneficial.
Miss Gertie Haan, Miss Edna tfo
been and the Mioses Ruth Kims and
Dorothy Abbott who have been
spending the past week at Pandon,
returned yesterday. The weather
seemed made to order for the rains
came at night, giving them the day
time for sightseeing, fishing and all
the amusements that belong to a sea
side resort. They report the trip made
with no untoward happenings to mar
its pleasure.
Mr. and Mi. S. II. rtolton of Twin
Falls, Idaho are In Ashland for an ex
tended visit at tho Methodist par
sonage. They arrived recently. Mr.
and Mrs, Bolton are the parents of
Mrs. Chaney. They are anticipating
a delightful vacation, and expect to
see the various and varied attractions
