a second operation last week, and it

will keep about 400 hens this winter

Several of Talent's enlisted young
men have been called out to take part

Mr. unci Mrs. Colvor Furry of Mast
Kden are having an addition built
onto their house. Mr. Furry has a
fine tract of land and all under the
ditch. The place Is In alfalfa and he
cuts three and four crops a year.
Quite a number of the ladles from
Phoenix and surrounding territory
spent a most delightful afternoon
with Mrs. Walker out east of Phoenix
on Monday, The occasion was a
demonstration by an aluminum com
pany. A delightful luih was onjoyed
by those present and a good time
socially was had.

Sec. 1. Each 5000 square foot or loss with house having one kitchen and oc
cupied by one family, with or without bath, toilet arid siuk....$1.75'

See. G. 'All extra area of cither lawn or garden in excess of 5000 square feet
adjoining or used in conjunction with any residence shall be charged
at the rate often (10) cents per. hundred square feet or fraction
thereof, which charge shall be' payable June 1st of each year.
If said amount is not paid it. shall become k delinquent as other
water charges become delinquent, and in case it is not paid the water
for the balance of the year shall be shut off, not only upon the area
in excess of 5000 square feet, but also upon the residence to which it
is adjacent or appurtenant.
Sec. 10. On the failure of any owner or consumer .to comply with the rules
and regulations hereby-established as a condition to the use of city
water, or to pay, the rates hereby established on or before fifteen
(15) days after ihe same becomes due, the water supply .to -an v
owner or consumer SHALL be shut off by said city without notice
until such time as payment is made of the amount due, together with
the sum of one dollar ($1.00) additional as penalty for the expense of

where there are defective or leaking pipes, faucets, closets, or other
fixtures, or where there are water closets, or urinals without self
' ' closing valves, and when such leakage 'or other defects arc discovered
