Presbyterian church. It will bo in
the interest of the migratory group:
of ! workers who come into the vul- j
ley with their families and children ,
for the summer work in the or-1
cliards and mills. Many children,
because of this moving nhout lose
ail 'chance for religious training and
education. Many babies are left in
care of small children while parents
work. To reach this class the
Woman's Council of home missions
of nil the denominations have been
planning nurseries and day schools
with religious Instruction during the
Bummer months. Such -a school was
very successfully conducted in the
Hood River district last year. Or
chardlsts welcomed it and gave It
every assistance possible.
Miss Laura H. Tarker of New York
City, representing this council, and
Miss Louise P. Shields who had
chargo of the school nt flood River,
will speak in the Presbyterian church
Sunday night telling of this most in
teresting work. Miss 1 Shields was
here recently and held conferences
with those interested. Everyone in
terested in this typ of missionary
work is invited to this service.
