tive Cecil A. Cook. The troops and

program of the new executive, and
there's a lot of new pep and enthusi
asm in the wake of his visits and In
spections among the troops. He's
here to help us put scouting on the
map in the Crater Lake council nnd

glad hand on every side, and that

most of which are open to all scouts
with bicycles. Over a hundred dol

and some of the entries open only to
scouts. Three medals, a gold, a silver,
and ti bronze, are to be awarded to
tho scouts who make the best and
neatest appearance in uniform with
his wheel. Then there is a gold
watch for the boy or girl with the
best decorated bicycle, and nnother
for riding a plank five inches wide

annual field meet at the fair grounds
either this or the next Saturday and

The Boy Scout city sanitary inspec
tion following the city "Clean up"
campaign is about completed and a
report will be made to the city coun
cil committee and to the public in a
few days. Some very interesting re
sults have been obtained by this in
spection and the scouts know a lot
about the accomplishments of this
campaign which they are going lo
tell to everybody.
Troops 1 and 5 came out ahead in
the largest representation of scouts
on duty when the first call was made
for the distributing "Clean Up Week"
literature and the Metropolitan In
surance 'agency has sent in the
awards of two sets of troop patrol
flags for these winners. Call at head
quarters office for them.
The scout executive has offered a
means for some troop to gain much
honor and a lasting distinction for it
self by a real accomplishment. ; He
desires some first class scout craft
articles to decorate the Crater Lake
council headquarters and offers to ac
cept for same the best knot board
display by any troop or patrol. Only
a limited time is given for the com
pletion of these, so make it snappy.
A similar honor is to be given for the
best selections of bird houses of dif
ferent types very soon.
Executive Cook makes his first of
ficial visit to Klamath Falls tomor
row nnd will spend a few days In that
part of the council. Soon he will visit
Ashland and Grants Paw and get in
closer touch with the organizations in
his whole area.
