Announcement that a revelation had
been received by' Albert M. Kmlth,

ference of the church here waa made

A revelation. In the understanding
of the members of the church, la the
voice of ;od speaking through the
presidency to the congregation on a
matter of great importance. Reve
lations are received only upon spec
ial occasions but as a rule at least
one is received at each general con
ference, church officials said. The
revelation followed action of the
majoirty niembera of the annual con
ference Saturday in over-riding in
surgents and voting "supreme direc
torial control" of the church' affairs
to President Smith. Several of the
insurgent members had declared
they would not abide by the action
of the congress.
After delivering a word of conso
lation to the people of the church,
the revelation, as repeated by Smith,
asked: "And was It not God rather

in the presidency?"
Continuing the appeal for peace,
me revelation said:
"Verily, verily, verily, let noth
ing separate you from each other

the church whereunto . I have
called you. And thus shall peace
