PORTLAND, Ore., April 14.4-Mrs.
Jean Kautto, who operated a hotel at
Warrenton,' Ore., was convicted today
by n jury tn federal court of using
the mails to defraud. She was
charged with having attempted to
blackmail Div E. S. Hamol, a dentist
and 'editor of Warrenton.
