Dora Oebers, nnd Ashland by Mrs.
Louis Dodge and Mrs. A. N. Hum
phrey. Tho entire Jackson county

Ralph DePalma, tho groat Italian
pilot, and idol of tho speedways, ar
rived .in the city today and after an
Inspection of the local track ventured
the opinion that it is the fastest dirt
track in the west and that some of
tho records of long standing will be
smashed here on Sunday. Eddie
Hoarne, winner of the 1923 cham
pionship of America, is expected to
reach the city this evening. Hearnc's
new dirt track car arrived In tho city
this morning and is on display at the
Mason Motor Car Co., Flint dealers.
"Babe" Stapp, the youthful demon
of tho speedway who has had such a
meteoric rise tu fame in the world of
speed is also in the city and will turn
several fast practise laps at the track
this afternoon. This newest star is ox

by the rabid racing fans of Medford
over the announcement today, that
the speedy Duscnberg of George Lott
would be driven by Mark Owens. The
"Duesle" has been hopped up consid
erably and with the masterful driving
of Owens should give the world's
speed kings the race of tho year. Geo.

expected to furnish many a thrill and
