girl and girls from 1 2 years up, on
sex-education and dangers In social
looseness, as a means to prevont the
wrong-doing of ignorant ynungHtcrs.

vestigated all along the line where our
workers travel. Each town, hamlet
and village Is carefully considered,
and delinquent and wayward girls
taken in training, without any red
tapo, or charges made.
Ono bad apple taken from a box of
good ones saves the rest. Just so a
girl of loose morals will spoil lives of
those with whom Hhn associates.
This work Is purely non-sectarian,
and It Is the duty of every citizen to
uphold our effort in protection and
correction, by cooperating every way

munity. When the little hands are
brought to you don't turn a deaf ear,
but dig down and sacrifice if neces

page edition but cannot be classed as
a yellow sheet as it is to be printed
in red ink.
The Craters have for several

MEETING ROSEBURG
ROSEBURO, Ore., March 7. Plans
are being formulated here for a con
vention of the booster clubs of Oregon
and the Prunarlans of Vancouver,
Wash.; to consider ways and means of
extending hospitality to the tourists
visiting the state, and to co-operate to
a greater extent in advertising the va
rious scenic attractions which Oregon
has to offer. The convention plan was
conceived at the King's council of the
Salem Cherrians and R. O. Snelllng,
chancellor of the rose, was directed to
cenfer with the Umpqua Chiefs to see
if arrangements could bo made to hold
the convention in Roseburg, which is
most centrally located for such an
event. The clubs which will be Invited
to participate are the Cherrians of Sa
lem, Uthlans of Ashland, Pelicans of
Klamath Falls, Craters of Medford.
Cavemen of Grants Pass, Pirates of
Coos Bay, Gobblers of Oakland, Ber
rians of Newberg, Rosarlans of Port
land, Prunarlans of Vancouver and the
Umjq.ua Chiefs of Roseburg.
The tentative plans were arranged
here today, and letters will be sent out
by the Cherrians to all clubs Inviting
them to participate and to secure ex
pressions regarding the most suitable
date. The Umpqua Chiefs propose a
big celebration in connection with the
strawberry carnival to be held tho lat
ter part of May. The Umpqua Chiefs
are to furnish the entertainment and
arrange the program for the confer
ence which Is to be held In Rosebuo;
because this city Is more centrally lo
cated and easily reached by all of the
booster clubs.

temperature to about 400 F., for
a few minutes to harden walls of air
ceils. Remove the cover and
reduce the temperature for balance
