assistance of the chamber of com
merce, and the "city beautiful" cam
paign will be carried out thoroly.
This is a worthy cause, and It .is re
quested of the citizens of Medford
that they will cooperate with these
committees in every way possible. The
fact t ha t we ha ve every reaso n to
expect moro visitors to our city this
summer than ever before, creates a
stronger desire to have our city wor

at the Hinlto theatre yesterday and

character and in situation, the cahrm
and. the feeling for rowance and .at
mosphere.
Tho story concerns three old men
who had been in 'love with, and re
jected by, the Btime woman In their
youth.. On her death she leaves her
daughter in their charge and she 1m
soon the center of their lives. When
her father, fulsely Imprisoned on a
forgery charge, escapes in a Jail-broaK
staged by other convicts, she drags
the three men liitb some dramatic and
suspensive action which gives the pic
ture its big, human moments. Teh
jail-break, by the aid of an armored
motor car, is spectaculur in the ex
treme. . ,
There is a well solocted cast con
sisting of Eleanor lioardman, Claude
Oilllngwater, William IL Crane, Alec
Francis, John Salnpolls, William
Haines, Fred Esmelton, Martha Mat
tox, Fred J. Butler. Charles Hickman,
