department wou d be required, under
a resolution Introduced by Represen
tative Taylor, democrat, West Vir
ginia, to inform the house what sci
entific fncts could be ascertained by
the proposed flight of the dirigible
Shenandoah to the North pole. .
The resolution asks information as
to the number of officers and enlist
ed men who will make the flight and
whether defects In the French dlri
glblo Dlxmude and the American air
ship ZK-2, destroyed with loss of life,
have been corrected in the Shenan
doah.
Information also is requested as to
the cost of the polar flight.
