Shows Fine Record in 1923
Tho directors of tlio Jackson county
fair met Wednesday evening and

net receipts of $3,489.37 for the year
1923, which has been applied on per-

amounted to 911,140.39 in 1923. .

i cific Fair association, of which the lo-
cal organization Is a member, at Seat
s' tlo, January 28th and 29th, to arrange
for (Into, horses, attractions, etc.
i The premium list will bo carefully
revised and Issued early In July this
' year. It was decided to Increase the
! harness races to $400 each, Instead of,
' $350 as last year, to meet tho races in
'; tlio circuit to secure the best horses.
It was also agreed to put on another
; pageant this year, date to be selected
) later, either In Juno or July. . Ed and
? George Andrews will put on "Robin
. Hood"' and will commence at once on
j! the same. , ' -

In: Medford taxes will.be one and
six-tenths mills lower in 1923. The
levy for school district No. 49, Med
ford and vicinity, is four-tenths of a
mill lower and the, city levy for gen
eral purposes -is two-tenths of. a mill
lower.. Added, to this is a two mill
levy, made at the request of the water
commission., for, necessary repairs,
making the total city levy 1.4 mills
higher for all purposes than in 1922.
