ment. At a meeting or the Scout Mas
tera yesterday ufternoon the final
plans for this series of friendly con
tests between the Medford troops! of
scouts were made. The, contests will
be of a varied nature, some display
ing the acquired skill of scout training
and others of a eon oral play nature.
Tho first series of seven events will
display both, individual and collective
speed and accuracy. The. second series
of three events will reveal individual
skirt and endurance. ' As the large
majority of the boya now in the troops
are qualifying in the tenderfoot .tests
there "will be no contests which -include
the display of skill acquired in
either the second or tho first class
ranks. ,.- T
. At the first Roneral assembly of the
troops last Saturday evening at the
new temporary headquarters In the
Baptist church, some of the competi
tive plays were practiced and this
week the troops aro busy -selecting
their entries and practicing for tho
finals.
It was found that it would be neces
sary for all scouts to wearv rubber
soled shoes at all headquarters assem
blies. This is a perioral requirement
made by all who have charge of local
gyms and the athletic committee , of
the Baptist gym aro forced to moet
this requirement in order to sa'vo the
floor. Tennis shoes aro suitable and
also quite inexpensive. Most of the
boys aro already supplied.

erland and Holland. A notable fea
ture of this record attendance was the
