C-T-C tire is to be presented that useV

user drive the two makes of tires con

In Its announcement to dealers of this
guarantee tho Columbia Tire corpora
tion points out that C-T-C tires have
proved their ability to withstand this
test, and that tho move should go a
long way to prove to their customers
the merits of a hand-built tire against
those which nro machine built in vajrt'
quantities. ,
Since their advent upon .'(he market
last February, C.-T-C tires have.. won.
their way into tho shops of almost 600
dealers in the northwest, and are now
on their way Into California territor
ies. It is said by Alfred A. Aya, gen
eral sales mannger, that the fleets of
many large northwest corporations
now travel wholly on C-T-C tires and
that individual purchasers are 'in
creasing in all territories.
C-T-C tires are manufactured in
Portland in what is said by industrial
engineers to be the model plant for
tire making. It Is- known .by few that
more thnn 90 per cent of the raw ma
terials for making tires originnte on
the Pacific, and therefore can be eas

doors of the Pacific coast tires manu
facturers. The - men responsible for
the building and equipping of the Co

the making of C-T-C tires grew up in
tho industry, having been connected
for many years with some of tho best
known tire manufacturers In America.
