vember 11th, 1923, at the age of 76
years, 2 "months and 23 days.
Mrs. Coleman was born In Ray
county, Mo., Aug. ISth, 1847, and on
May Sth, 1864, left there with her par
ents, the late Mr. and Mrs. B. C. God
dard, by ox team, for Oregon, arriving
where the present town of Talent is
now located Sept. 29th, of the present
year.
She was married to the late M. H.
Coleman, a pioneer of 1853, at the old
Taylor Donation Land claim, three
miles east of Medford on Aug. 13th,
1865. . .... . ,
There was born to said union seven
children, five of which survive her, to
wlt: Elmer - G. Coleman, Phoenix,
Ore.; Mrs. John It. Hoblson, Tulent,
Ore.; William It. Coleman, Medford,
Ore.; James 13. Coleman, Jacksonville,
Ore., and Mrs. Edith Neathammnr,
Talent, Ore.;, also one brother, H. II.
Goddard, Talent; Ore., and one sister,
Mrs. W. J. Dean of Phoenix, Ore., till
of whom were at her bedside when she
passed from this lite. -
She Is survived by 1? grandchildren
and four great grand children, besides
a large host of friends and acquaint
ances who mourn her untimely du
mlse. Funeral Bervlces will be held from
tho residonce of John It. Hoblson. Tal
ent, Ore., at 2 o'clock p. in. Tuesday,
Nov. 13th. lntoriucnt in the Wagner
Creek cemetery.
