friends, when he left here two weeks
ago for Helper, Uiah.
He had been training for more than
two weeks, each day going through
heavy workoutB with from three to
five of the toughest sparring partners
obtainable in Los Angeles and is said
to be working out regularly at Helper.
When Derapsey left here he weighed
193 pounds, five pounds above his best
fighting weight, and was described as
hard as nails."
"I am in the best physical condition
of my career," the champion said then.
I am only 2S years old and have no
intention of retiring. 1 could enter
the ring on short notice to meet any
