o the Presbytorlan church last ovon
Ing was a most enjoyable affair.
About fifty men and boys were pres
ent for tho supper and good follow
ihip and the entertainment of toasts
and fun.
The supper was furnished and ar
ranged by a committee consisting of
Dr. B. R. Elliott, chairman; Wr. Wm.
P. Holt, Ed Qoro, C. E. Blee, Hamil
ton Patton. In the meeting follow
ing, reports were heard from the
gospel team committee, Ed Gore,
chairman, telling of the services held
on two different sabbaths In four dif
ferent places, by tho gospel teams,
with houses filled with eager au
diences. Plans aro under way for
services at Eagle Point for Sunday
night this week and also the Apple
gate Bchool Sunday afternoon. Other
Sunday school workers will also hold
services at Kuch and the Uniontown
school in the hpper valley.
Brief and spicy toasts were given
In the program following by Super
intendent Aubrey Smith, on tho re
lationship of helpfulness between the
man and tho boy, by Cash Wood of
the county Y. M. C. A. on helpful
suggestions and encouragements in
the boy's athletic life, by Itev. E. P.
Lawrence on tho church and the boy.
. A fitting response was made by Hoxy
Borden, expressing appreciation on
the part of tho boys, of the interest
of the men In invltlnpt them for tho
evening and nlso tho offer of backing
In their spring athletics.
The evening closed with fun and
entertainment ns furnished by Jay
uoro In his skilful sleight of hand
performances.
The last meeting of tho men's club
will be held on the second Thursday
of May with Mr. John Perl as chair
man of the refreshment committee.
