American Laundry

The new building of the American
Laundry at 13S South Central avenue
has been completed, the new, up-to-date
machinery installed and all is in
readiness for the opening which oc
curs Monday, March 5th and all who
doslro to seo a modern laundry in
action are Invited to attend.
The building and equipment are the
latest in laundry line, and strict atten
tion was given to light and sanitation
in construction of the plant.
James A. Slorah, the proprietor, is
a llve-wlro young business man and
has been working under disadvantage
since the fire some months ago, but
with the new laundry he will be bet
ter equipped than ever before to give
lirst-class service. Mr. Slornh says
the laundry is Independent of any

The official weather report for Feb
ruary shows that that month was
what is known In high school and
other educational circles as a cracker
jack or Jlmdandy, and that this year
the weather for the first time In years
past has returned to tho normal Feb
ruary. It w,as somewhat of a troplwil
month, carelessly speaking, with
much sunshine and little rain in com
parison with past years.
Fourteon days wero clear, ten wore
cloudy and four partly cloudy, and
there was only .38 of an Inch of-procli-Ration,
including one-half Inch of
snow which lay on the ground about
the 15th. This rainfall mostly came
on tho 12th. There wero 28 days of
frost and in February thero was a fall
of hail.
The record of temperatures shows
the following: Mean maximum, 53.19;
mean minimum, K.5!i; mean, 39.89;
maximum, 72 on Feb. 28; minimum.
