to use more manure and cover crops.
Ho also told of tho Important part
that organic matter plays in holding
the moisture that is always needed for
the proper development of the fruit.
Prof. Relmer also otld of the vital im
portance of blight In the Rogue River
valley and told of his experiences in
California where It Is - costing the
growers hundreds of thousands ' of
dollars and said that It., behooved
every orchardlst to do everything
within their means to clean out the
blight thoroughly In all orchards of
tho county.
