BROWNLEE LUMBER
GETS EQUIPMENT,

Two Clyde skiddera were received
this week by the Brownlce Lumber
company for use in their ' timber
operations in the Butte Falls district,
and. are being shipped to that section.
The skidders are the same type as
used by the Weed Lumber company
in their IokkIiik. are a highly com
plicated piece of machinery and some
idea of their size can be gained from
the' fact -that six flatcars were used
in transporting them from tho east.
They are used in hauling logs with
wire cables to the tracks, and take
the place of the old donkey engines.
- A loader and steam shovel to be
used In the work, are en route from
.the oast, and are expected to arrive
this month.
It is expected that the machinery
will all be on hand, and Instated by
February 1st, and ready for opera
tion at that time, though no .definite
date has been set.
