Choice home Krown water and musk
melons were almost a drag on the
public: market today due to the large
quantity of fast ripening fruit in the
valley and the fact , that yesterday
much of this fruit was peddled from
wagonR throiiKliout the city at attrac
tive prices. In consequence hundreds
of fine water melons were sold at the
market this morning for 25 cents, and
choice musk melons at 25 cents a doz.
There was also a large trade In other

Appreciation for the help and the
excellent concerts given by the ElUfl
iand on the Crater Club tour to Copco,
Sunday, is heard on every hand. All
of the Craters and everyone else on
the trip enjoyed the music by the band
almost as much as the Inhabitants of
the northern California villages where
the concerts were given. The Medford
lilks band is probably the first and
only hand worthy of the name that
ever filled the air over the lake be
hind the giant Copco dam with music.
The success of the trip and the crowd
drawn at Yreka are duo, in a large part
to the band.

BILLBOARD said: "Wesley Barry as 'Speck' offers
more entertainment than the combined efforts of a dozen
male stars. Break whatever engagement you may have,
take the little folks, the young folks and the old folks and
go and see 'School Days.' It will repay you by making
you feel younger and better and happier. This screen
classic rides faster than an aeroplane, straight to success.
Entertainment value 100. It should be shown to all

ODAY
DAYS
Every mother who has boys, every man who remembers his boy
hood, every human being who can thrill to the joys, the disap
pointments, the pranks and the glory of boyhood, will more than
relish the many human and humorous touches of "when we were
a couple of kids." '
Indeed, it will bring back to you in the most vivid manner the
irresponsible, untamable heart of boyhood. And we feel that you
should not miss this wholesome and highly entertaining screen
comedy.
