GIVE CONCERT IN

under the capable direction of the
KTks band instructor,- W. K. -Nicker-aon,
formerly active in Seattle mu
sical circlet, has duvcloped i;ito one
of the valley's finest musical organi
zations. The city council appropriated $400
of their budget last fall for summer
concerts. "When manager V. E. VVahl
of th Elk's band submitted the
councils' figures to band members,
they decided that owing to the small
appropriation the organization would
provide their concerts free. A com
plete outfit of uniforms for the band
Is being planned and it, the council
feels willing to recompense the or
ganization for Its summer services,
the sum would be spent for that
purpose.
The concerts wHI be held as often
as possible during the summer and
.the public Is cordially invited to at
tend. The co-operation of the par
ents Jn keeping children uuiet during
conucrts is earnestly urged by those
in charge. Car owners are asked not
tp'itnn their engines while the bund
Is? playing. The people will be ad
vised of each concert through news
paper notices. The personnel of the

careful check today of the victims of
last night's Missouri Pacific wreck
near here reduced the number of
dead from six to tour. It was found
that two unidentified negroes had
been killed instead of four as first re
ported. The other dead were W. A.
Rader, engineer on Missouri Pacific
freight trulu and J. A. Lasseter of
Ordway. Colo., a passenger.
