ATTIC FIRE CALLS
OUT DEPARTMENT
A fire in the attic of the J.' L. Brown-
lee residence on South Oakdale shortly
after two o'clock this afternoon was
quickly extinguished "by several fire
men with chemical extinguishers.
The house is to be redecorated soon
and a number of old pajiers had been
burned In the fireplace subsequent to
the preparation of the house for decor
ation. The fire is supposed to have
started from the-flue.'' It was discov
ered quickly and the department ar
rived before the flanges: had gained
much headway: It was under control
and practically extinguished 10 min
utes after the arrival of the depart
ment. It was not found necessary to
straighten out any ot the hose carried
by the big truck and practically ' no
damage was done to the house aside
from the removal of; several small
patches of shingles for the purpose of
getting the extinguishing solution on
the flames beneath the roof.

sentence. They were sent o the
Idaho penitentiary from different
counties on burglilry charges and
after serving one year were paroled.
