Walter Miller of-I.os Angeles, mid
dleweight wrestling champion of the
Pacific Coast, threw Tom Hay of
Omaha, Neb., last night at Ciold Hill
after 1:31 minutes of tussling and
tugging, with a combination reverse
urm lock and face hold. The match
was slower than many seen in tills
section, and the crowd was slimmer
than usual nt the events of tho Cold
Hill lloxlng commission.
The first hour was spent by both
mon largely in pulling at each othors'
necks, with flashos of speed, but both
wary and cautious. Hay slapped a
body scissor hold on Miller with his
I long legs, and squeezed until Miller
ruuiicu nis eyes in pain. i no cnam
plon broke the hold, and tho effort
apparently tired Ray as much as it
did .Miller. MUler also got his head
in Bonio tight places, but Ray did hot
havo tho strength to flop him.
After tho first GO minutes Miller
speeded up tho proceedings, and
punished his adversary with head-
locks, etc. Coming out of a hold
Miller trapped Ray, and utter a few
in I nu ten of punishmont, gavo up.
Miller said ho could have snapped off
Ray's arm with tho hold, which he
Invented himself.
With 23 minutes to go in tho soc
ond tilt, the pair wero on their feet
most of th6 time, with both aggres
sive Miller rammed Ray into a post
once, and both tried to throw each
other out of the ring. Ray, when he
had tho body scissors in action, rub
bed Miller's head over tho rough can
vas, and there wore frequent signs of
roughness on both sides.
Ralph Hand refcreed the match,
and set Cold Hill wild when he came
into the ring.
Tho first event was a wrestling
bout between two Gold Hill young
Btors of tender yours, and they used
tho snmo tactics as the mon folks, nnd
know many 'holds. It was called a
draw. There wus a shower of coin
for tho boys.
Kids Davis and Schiller tangled in
a thrco round boxing bout, and were
wild and willing. Thoy also receivod
a draw decision, and a sprinkling of
nickels.
Messrs. Blair and Conrad engaged
In a 15 minute wrestling contest, and
neither wus nblo to throw tho other.
In tho main event, tho crowd was
for Hay, and cheered evory tlmo he
rocolvod an advantage The winner
was ehullongod by Ralph Hand.

IHE new low mark of $10.90
for the 30 x 3V2 size "Usco"

impulsive remark was on the "wonder
ful price."
Even more to the point are the com

People are getting more used to the
$10.90 priced but the "Usco" value is
still a cause for wonder.
With thousands of $10.90 "Uscos" run-

to cnecK up on the surprising tire value.
