Failure of the automobile registra
tions in Oregon to maintain the pro
portionate Inciouse during the last
two years which obtained In the early
days of automobile registration In this
state, Indicates that many of the orig
inal automobiles in this state are be
ing consigned to the Junk heap nnd
that ninny of tho cars now being Bold
by' dealers 'are replacements, accord
ing to Secretary of State Kozer. A
comparison of registrations for several
years shows a gain ofnonrly 13,000
automobiles at the end of May, 1921. as
compared with the same period in 1920
whereas the registrations up to' May
31 this year are but 6000 greater than
the registrations up to Ma;' 31, 1921.'
