Three boys, two of them 14 years of
age and the other ten years have been
placed under arrest and will be tried
before Judge Gardner in Jacksonville
Wednesday or Thursday on a charge
of burglary. The boys are alleged to
have entered the Oregon Growers
Warehouse on North Central and to
have taken wire and .electrical equip
ment therefrom. It Is also alleged that
they broke all of the electric light
globes in the establishment It is sup
posed that the motive for the taking
of the wire, etc., was the desire for
material from which to construct a

A fish broke the line -and escaped
from a man at Gold Ray dam Sunday.
Vera Van Dyke cast into the river
some distance below the place where
the escape had taken place and when
he reeled In his line his hooks held the
dead end of the line which the fish had
broken. The man who had lost the
fish was beside him by this time and
was telling his hard luck story when
Vern handed him the derelict line and
with the help of another man the
owner of the line landed a 25 pound
salmon. -

Considering the fact that it was
Memorial day and also circus day the
crowd of rural and other outside folks
