dents: "Sam Bowden, an old miner of
the Klamath in this county, but now
engaged in quartz mining on Jackson
creek, a few miles north of Jackson
ville. Oregon, passed through town on
his way hack from the Pay last week

gaining the aid of men of means to aid
him in his enterprise."
