The city council last niKlit passed a
resclutlon to tho effect that James
"Shine" Edwards, appear before that
body at its next meeting and sh nv
cause why his taxi cab license should
not be revoked. The motion for the
testation was made by Councilman
Dressier. All of the councilmen were
pre.-ent except Ft. W. Antle.
Mayor dates and Councilmen Miles,
(laddis and Dressier favored the reso
lution and voted for it. Dr. Kerne,
however, was vigorously opitosed t
taking any action on the matter as

Kdwards was pending in circuit court.
At his trials on this charge both juries
fai'ed to agrre. and it Is generally ex
ported that District Attorney Moore
will bring the case up for a third trial,
