Medford folks thla morning which last

penetrating kind and most everyone

Apple production in Oregon Jumped
from fewer than 2,000,000 boxes in
1909 to almost 7,000,0u0 boxes a year
In 1919, even thought production in the
1'nlted States roll from 155,000 acres
to 115,000 acres In the same decade,
according to W. S. Drown, chief of
horticulture at Oregon Agricultural
college. Pears, peaches, and grapes
suffered a heavy decline in the coun
Iry at large, although most of these
made rapid and steady growth in Ore
gon. The dried prune output in the
statu Is annually 30,000,000 to 40,000.-
000 pounds, while berry production
