it a wise precaution to Increase the
size of the police force by one man,
at least for the winter, last week Is
sued orders to Chief Timothy to act
accordingly, and the chief appointed
J. H. Leggett, who has been a resident

shortly after locating here with his
family purchased a home. A number
of men had applied for appointment to
the force but the fact that Mr. Leggett
