the United States biological survey.
According to a report received by
Gabrlelson, Heckner, assisted by one
man on salary and 102 farmers, pois
oned -10,280 acres of government land
and repblsoned 42200 acres, and treat
ed lightly 16,850 acres where the squir
rels were not bad, at a total cost of
$1432.42, or not over 2.3 cents per acre.
This is the lowest unit cast for land
poisoned in this state, says Gabrlelson.
Heckner is about half through with his
poison campaign.
