Lake season opened July 1st last the
Crater Lake stage and baggage wagon
were missing from their usual stands
at the depot this morning, awaiting In

an appeal to the supreme court of
the state having confirmed the find
ings of the lower court," says the
Grants Pass Courier. "His bondsmen
have been notified to produce him In
order that the sentence may bo served,
The decision ot the' higher court was
received yesterday. Rowen was . in
dicted by the grand jury, on a charge
of Torgery of a quit claim deed to min
ing property on the Illinois river, April
2, 1917. Following the indictment
Rowen was not brought to trial until
January 1, 1920, and received his sen
tence a week latere The case was
again argued and submitted to the
supreme court on June 23, 1921. He
was released on $1000 bonds after his
trial, nearly two years ago. Mr. Rowen
has been employed in Medford as an
auto salesman while out on bail await
ing the decision of the higher court."
