The annual spring basket picnic of
tho Elks lodge at tho Elks picnic
grounds Sunday on the Rogue river
was attended by members and thcir
fnmlllcs to the number of 300. Tho
weather was ideal and tho grounds
were beautiful in their early summer
verdure. Tho big feature of tho day
was tho baseball game between the
teams of the Medford and Ashland
Elks which had an exciting finish. The
Ashland team was several runs ahead
at the beginning or the eighth inning.
Then the desperate Medfordiles staged
i wondorful rally and won the game

included a home run by Babe Ruth

service, but was unable to pass the

late Air. and Airs. Morse Allen Tun
nell. formerly of F.-iirbury, Nebraska,
and .Mobile, Alabama, and of his Im

Maude Tunnell Edwards of this city.
