mothers and fathers. Friday morn
ing tho "Sunshine Chorus" meets for
the lant time, and in tho afternoon a
big feed will be served them.

day left no doubt in the minds of the
members that the Y, C. A. has u
place In Medford that no olher or
ganization la In position to fill. The
Avork which tho Y. W. C. A. does for
tho young women In the community
in of such a character that it cannot
help but build up a high moral
standard and as this is tho founda
tion for the advancement of any com
nmnity, Med ford cannot afford to be
without this institution in tho future.
V. I. Shepherd of Portland, who
lectured Tuesday afternoon at the
Chautauqua, was prevailed upon to
remain over until Wednesday so that
he might address tho forum. As
traveling most of the time, ho -stated
that he had everv onnortunitv to ob
serve I he activities of the Chambers
of Commerce in many -x'ommunities.
While ho com'plimented the Medford
Chamber, he advised them to make I
further strides and especially to use j
greater publicity as by that means did i
California build up her population.
