i meeting was held last week to con
sider the financing of the new Crater
Uike company which resulted in the
appointment of two committees who
worked less than an hour and a half
and oversubscribed the amount of
stock necessary to keen Medford's
Knoil name for progressiveness before
the state. - - .
Out of a total of $20,000 of Btock of
fered,' Medford citizens subscribed for
more than $7000. It was the original
Intention of the company to have this
amount taken up by all of the com
munities of southern Oregon but as
Medford men had assumed the respon
sibility of the management of the
Crater Lake concession, they believed
it only proper for Medford citizens
alone to bIiow their loyalty and belief
in the Investment as being a most
profitable one.
Every cltlzeii of southern Oregon
especially those who have never visit
ed Crater Lake, should plan to do so
this year. The privilege of tho option
of purchase of the Crater Lake conces
sion will not be exorcised by the iiew-
ly organized company unless there is
a good showing made this year.'
