Medford girls at Heed college, Port
land, have been occupying a prominent
place this , year in the student life
of that Institution.! At the student
body election last Monday Miss Eliza
beth (lore won a place on the l!)21-22
student council, and today she served
as one of the chairmen for the recep
tion Iteed college gave to 400 1'ortland
high school seniors. Gertrude Opp, a
member of the junior class, was elect
ed president of the Amanda Iteed as
sociation. '
The Lake creek district school
closed today, and in lieu of the usual
last day picnic the twenty-three pupils
were brought to Medford to enjoy the
Al. O. Dailies circus, transportation
being furnished hy the school patrons.

ied the pupils, and the entire parly
