crowd of people in Medford yesterday
for the circus there was not an ncct
dent or trouble of any kind, or un
toward incident, according to the po
lice reports. There were no burglar
ies or cases of pocketiilcktng. In fact
the day whs rather a remarkable one
in the history of circus visits In Med
ford.

irom the city at 16 minutes after mid
night last night for Uosehurg, whore
tho attraction appears today. As the
wild west feature, which followed the
night performance, did not end until

train to depart less than two hours
later.

An unintentional injustice was done

tatives of the marine engineers went
into conference late today with Secre
tary Davis, leading to hopes that some
agreement might yet bo reached In the
wage dispute which threatens a tieup
of American shipping.

short time while Secretary. Davis went
to the White House to discuss with
'resident Harding some aspects of the

spread unemployment and distress

any way attributable to the wage

costs at the present time are such as
