A telegraphic dispatch from Saleiu
says: "The Crater iJike National Park
company, organized for the purpose of
operating Crater l.ako lodge and Anna
Springs camp in Crater Lake National
park, filed articles Saturday. The
company is capitalized at $40,000 with
the following incorporators: H. W.
ChildB, It. W. Price and Eric V. Hau
lier. The organization of this company
Is the result of investigations of hotel
accommodations at Crater lake by a
committee named by Governor Olcott
a year ago. Through the activity of
this committee numerous Improve
ments are to be made In present hotel
accommodations and an option on the
purchase of the hotel property Ib given
to the newly organized company."
The wood work of tho outer lobby
of the liialto theater Is being given a
new coat of paint.
Mr. and .Mrs. Roy J. White of Med
ford are In Rosehurg for several days
attending to business matters.
A series of games between the Kilts'
volley ball team and tile Ashland V.
M. C. A. team is being arranged. It J
seems difficult to find a suitable date,
but there is every indication that- the
series will come off soon. Serious
judges, lawyers, doctors, bankers, bus
iness men compose the teams and it Is
earnestly hoped that no blood will be
shed.
W. O. Hadley of The Dalles left this
morning for Grants Pass and the
Anient dam to see about something
being done as soon as possible to rem
edy the bad conditions at the dam, due
to a large break, so that the fish can
come through.
