Do you eat
Hornby? Oats
-or just oats ?
The .difference :
1 . We steam-cook H-O, so you only have
to cook it a few minutes.
2. Pan-toasting brings out an entirely differ
ent and delicious flavor, and gives it that
rich, golden color.
3. It cooks up flaky not sticky and pasty.
4. It comes to you clean and fresh, in an
airtight Waxseal wrapper.

240 PROSPECTS
C.
No estimate has been given out by
the committee in charge of the supple
mentary membership cuiuijulgn of the
Modford Chamber of Co'mmt'iee as to
the number of new members they ex
pect to secure, nor the amount of
money that they will collect from the
present membership In the "Pay As
You Go" campaign.
There are approximately 240 pros
pects. This list was carefully pre
pared by a committee of citizens, tak
ing into consideration their financial
investments in the community and
their ability to pay an annual member
ship fee of $25.00, without the same
being a hardship upon themselves or
their families.
A year ago, a number of well mean-
ins citizens subscribed for member
ships. They soon realized that Uiey
had assumed a responsibility which
would be most difficult for them to
carry out. The board of directors took
the view that the Chamber of Com
merce should not be an institution
that should be a hardship for any of
its citizens to support. They were
of the opinion that many citizens, fv
nancially able, did not belong to the
chamber and that efforts be made to
et them to invest in a membership
and the responsibility, which the will
ing ones, who were financially unable,
had agreed to carry.
Every prospect has been notified
through the mail that his membership
Is desired. Sales arguments have been
presented to them and several of
them have come to the headquarters
and have purchased three year mem
berships.

URGE PARENTS TO
The W. C. T. II. met at the home of
Mrs. Godlove on North Bartlett street
Thursday 'afternoon. An interesting
discussion was raised as how to better
conditions in Medford. It would be a
good plan If parents who allow their
children to attend the dance and mov
ies would go with their children to
these places. It would also be a wise
plan If all children had to go straight
home from school and were kept in
off of the streets nights. A single
standard of morals is the only stan
dard. There are some of the points
advocated by various women at that
mooting. We want to see better con
ditions along these lines In Medford.

BELIEVED PAST
SAN FRANCISCO, April 16. A per
iod of cold weather on the ' Pacific
coast, marked In some sections by
heavy frost deposits, gave way today
to higher temperatures and a showery
or threatening condition.
The weather bureau has received no
reports of any excessive damage done
by the frosts, although they were what
is known as the killing variety.
The lateness of the season and
quickly changing temperatures saved
the situation.
