GOOD FELLOWSHIP
INNER GHRiSTIAN
CHURCH MONDAY
Preparations for t'ue "Good Fellow
ship Dinner" for members ot the Med
ford Chamber of Commerce and their
guests have been completed and this
is looked upon as one of the most aus
picious occasions in the history of the
chamber. Coming as it does at the
close of a most successful year and at
the beginning of one that itlvea evi-
! deuces of a greater usefulness of the
Chamber of Commerce, there is every
reason why the members should get
together iu a "Good fellowship Spirit"
and again pledge their united support
to make Jackson county and especially
Medford a better place in which to live
and to do business in.
All of those citizens who heard Juke
Allen of San Francisco last year will
hare the oppoiiunily to hear him a tain
as he will mak the address of the
evening after the dinner. His easy
manner, his thoughts framed in th
most wonderful of word pictures and
with a full control of a pleasing voice
and personality guarantees his hearers
of a profitable and interesting even
ing. The dinner will ho held in the base
ment of the Christian church next
.Monday at G:30 p. m. and will be
served by the Ladies' Aid of the
church. The charge will be $1.00 pur
plate. The grown-ups of the families
of members of the Chamber of Com
merce are cordially invited to attend.
A RAW, SORE THROAT
r-ases Quickly When You
Apply a Little Musterole.
And Musterole won't blister like
the old-fashioned mustard plaster.
Just spread it on with your fingers.
It penetrates to the sore spot with a
gentle tingle, loosens the congestion
and draws out the soreness and pin.
Musterole is a clean, white oint
ment made with oil of mustard. It
is fine for quick relief from sore
throat, bronchitis, tonsilitis, croup, stilt
neck, asthma, neuralgia, headache,
congestion, pleurisy, rheumatism, lum
bago, pains and aches of the back ot
joints,sprains,soremuscIes,bruises,chil.
Wains, frosted feet, colds on the chest
Nothing like Musterole for croupy chil
dren. Keep it handy for instant-use.

A SPECIAL
ELECTION APR- 26
AJSHLAN'D, April l:i. The munici
pality will hold another special elec
tion on Friday. April 2S. The issue
involved will be a refunding one as
applying to the issue of $05,000 thirty
year serial bonds bearing six per cent,
for payment, refunding and cancella
tion of various issues of improvement
bonds, cost of paving and grading, and
repaying moneys borrowed from cer
tain funds, to the extent of Jli2,554.S0,
also providing legal fees, etc., incident
to sundry expense account in tho sum
of $1!.445.11. The Improvement bonds
to be refunded amount to J46.000; pav
ing and grading account, $5020.78; re
imbursement to the several funds for
money borrowed. $10,930. It cost
$4410 to pay taxes, attorneys feei, and
other expenses connected with fore
closure of properties ajulnst which
the city had delinquent improvement
liens. The general fund being shy,
recourse was hud to tlje water, elect! ic
light and other departments to tide
over emergencies. The street fund.
for instance, profited thereby to the
extent of $'J320, the recent purchase
of a tractor having required $0u0,
this being; regarded as a first class
Investment. The refunding proposition
does not add to the city debt, but
merges the principal in a specific bond
Issue instead of being represented in a
variety of debits. Interest is not to
exceed vnix per cent. There will ho
two voting places only, the First ward
at city hall, and the Second ward at
the fire station on Fourth-street.

Some sort of restraining measure
is being recommended to curb activ
