to five a. m. Wednesday on account of
installing new apparatus. V
Although the Pacific highway was
crowded with cars of Medford and val
ley people In both directions Sunday
afternoon and evening between Ash
land and Grants Pass, not a single
accident had been reported up to this
noon. There was no speeding as far
as could be learned and last night the
strings of hundreds of ears had no
spotlights, using but their ordinary
lights. Ever since the unfortunate
accident two weeks ago Sunday even
ing in which the three Gore sisters
were injured the generally careful
driving and lighting of cars on the Pa
cific highway has been noticeable.

Interesting wedding took place on
the afternoon of Saturday, March
19th, at the home of the bride's par
ents, Dr. and Mrs. E. K. Seely, 1039
East Tenth street, where in the pres
ence of close friends and relatives
their daughter, .-una became the bride
of Charles R. Spackman, Jr., son of
C. R. Spackman of this city. The
rooms were artistically decorated with
spring flowers nnd Easter lilies. The
bride gowned in a smart gray tailored
suit wearing orchids and lilies of the
valley, was given away by her lather.
Mrs. G. II. Grover of Medford, sister
of the bride, acted as matron of honor.
