The fine recent weather has started
the garden making fever epidemic on
its annual rago In the city, which in a
couple of weeks more will be on at
full tilt. Many early gardens have al
ready been planted, but the majority of
citizens prerer to wait a wnue unin
danger of young growing vegetables
being killed by frost is past. As usual
those people who declared late last
summer that they would not have a
.nrcten this year takes too much time
to : eultlvato and irrigate, you know,
ore already showing signs of back-sliding.

"Roseburg's claim for recognition ln4.

says the Roseburg News Review. "The
honor of representing southern Oregon
goes to Ashland, and that team will
play for the state championship.1' Ther
Roseburg team feels that' this' decision
is unfair, as Ashland only played two
games oft her own floor, and on thoso
occasions defeated Medford, which
team was also defeated by Roseburg.
It 1b true that Ashland won from Rose
