Building Shoes
Like Bridges
Most shoes arc just
"made" all that they are
intended for arc to be mere
"foot coverings." The pres
ervation of the foot is not
taken into consideration.
, That is where the ARCH
PRESERVER SHOE and
ordinary shoes differ.
They arc built on a basic
principle they have a wide
bridge reaching from the
ball of the foot to the heel,
anchored securely in place.
It is this bridge that
supports the arch gently yet
firmly it keeps it in its
normal position and pre
serves the foot.

kO you know that by lar the larger numbcr'of the common
' ailments of women are not sursrical ones; that is they are
not caused by any serious displacement, tumor, growth, or other
marked change ? .
DO you know that these common ailments produce symptoms
that are very much like those caused bv the more serious
surgical conditions?
kO you know that many women and young gn Is suiier neecl
' locW from curb nilmpnt;? Mnrf. rlmn th.it. thev cndancer
their health by allowing their ailments to continue and develop
into' something serious.
If treated early, that is, within a reasonable time after the first warning
symptoms appear, serious conditions may often bo averted. Therefore, at the
first appearance of such symptoms as periodic pains, irregularities, irritability
and nervousness, Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound should be taken.
It is prepared with accuracy and cleanliness from medicinal plants. It con'
tains no narcotics nor poisonous drugs, and can be taken with perfect safety.
The Vegetable Compound acts on the conditions which . bring about these
symptoms in a gentle and efficient manner. ' The persistenWuse of it shows
itself in the disappearance, one after another, of the disagreeable symptoms.
In a word, Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound acts as a natural restora,
tive, relieving the present distress and preventing more serious trouble,
