An unavoidable accident occurred at
the Front and West Main street Inter
section this forenoon In which a man
named John Anderson was knocked
down and run over by a car driven byl
Fred Taylor, who recently located in
the city. Anderson was at once hur
ried to the Sacred Heart hospital,
where It developed his huVts consisted
of minor cuts and surface bruises, by
Mr. Taylor and O. V. Myers who was
rlrling with him. Tho Taylor car was
going west on Main Btrect just as a
motor truck cut in onto Mulu street
from South Front, and a third car was
approaching from. North Front street.
Mr. Anderson was crossing on the side
walk from the chamber of commerce
to Brown & Hrown'a corner, and stop
ped suddenly, thinking tho truck was
coming straight ahead, and tho. Taylor
car, which was compelled to. cut the
corner behind the truck, struck and
knocked him down.
