The Jackson Hot Springs on the
Pacific highway between this city and
Ashland have been fenced, and a homo
made stone wall built on the highway
side. The spring now steams all day
and night. Recently an autoist ran off

of MuK'uomah county the Medford po
lice arrested Dr? Eddy, a chiropodist
of Portland, -on the ctiarge of larceny
.by bailee, incidental to his having pur
chased an auto in that city on the in
stalment plan and bringing' the car to
Medford before It had been entirely
paid for. Eddy was located with his
11 year old son at a local roonilng
house and arrested by Night Patrol
man Jack Hempstreet. He was taken
back to Portland last night for trial;
