date of October 11th, 1920, and te
ing recorded in Volume 13 of the
Chattel Mortgage Records of Jackson
County, Oregon, at pages 369 to 371,
inclusive, under date of November
10th, 1920, said mortgage having
been given to secure the payment of
that certain indebtedness represented
by three certain promissory notes, as
follows, to-wit:
One note in the sum of $2250.00,
due November 1st, 1920, one note to
the sum of 12250.00, due December
1st, 1920, and one note In the sum of
$S442.00, payable in installments of
$703.50 on January 1st, 1921, and
on the first day of each succeeding
month thereafter until the full sum
of $S442.00 has been paid, each of
said notes bearing interest at the
rate of Bight (8) per cent per annum
from date and the first two 'thereof
bearing date of October 1st, 1920
and the last bearing date of October
11th, 1920, which said notes and
mortgage were for a valuable consid
cration duly assigned, transferred,
set over and delivered to the Amer
ican Securities Company, an Oregon
corporation, which is now the owner
and holder thereof and which said
company has, by reason of the failure
of the said makers to pay any of said
notes or the installments of either
principal or interest thereon, elected
in accordance with the terms of said
notes and mortgage to declare the
whole thereof now due and payable,
and
Whereas, there is now due, ovying
and unpaid on said notes and mort
gage and unto the American Secur
ities Company from the said W. T.
Estep, C. A. Corbin and Mary A.
Estep the principal sum of
$12,942.00, with interest thereon at
the rate of 8 per cent per annum from
October lllh, 1920, which said Inter
est at the date hereof amounts to
$218. 58, and the attorney's fees nec
essarily incurred in the foreclosure
