P. hall Friday, Dec. 24, at three p. m

ed on promptly at 3:15. The enter
tainment will be over by 5 o'clock.

NEW YORK, Dec. 22. Trading in
stocks today was again- very active
and uncertain of trend, representa
tive Issues making substantial recov
eries while specialties continued to
decline. Sales approximated 1,300,-
0(Hl shares.
NEW YORK, Dec. 22. Although
prices were Irregular at the outset of
today's session, there wero no traces
of yesterday's violent reaction. Sup
porting orders stabilized the better
known issues, especially rails, steelB
equipments and motors with resu li
mit gains ranging from fractions to

ratic. Mexican Petroleum opening at
a loss of two to three points regained
partially later.
