F U Wednesday a Chevrolet touring car belonging to Irvin Bostwick of Medford was stolen In a peculiar manner. Mr. nostwlck, who conducts a barber shop in Medford, was telling a customer, It is stated, that he was thinking some of selling his car, which was standing in front of his shop, says the Ashland Tidings. A stranger, it Is alleged, offered to sell the car for him to a man in Ashland if Mr. Bostwick would let, him drive It up here. Mr. Bostwick consented, it is stated, and the man drove off. As he did not return Chief Hatcher was notified, and he learned that a man in a car answering the description of the one Mr. :Bostwick had lost, passed the highway construction crew on the Siskiyous headed for the south.
