enjoyed a most delightful afternoon
from 2 till 5. Ice cream and cake
was served by the hostess, In her
most bountiful way, then came tho
bon bons, but soon disappeared with
the merrymakers. -
William Hcale passed away at his
stepdaughter's, Mrs. Nellie Wooloy'u,
Sunday morning at 7:30. Ho suf
fered a stroko some time ago and has
never been well or ablo to get nrfound
since. The funeral will be at Central
Point, Tunsday at 2 o'clock.
Little Frankio dlrainerd went to
Medford lust week to join her parents
who moved down there a few weeks
ago, an Mr. Krainord has a repair
shop there.
Mrs. K. Fredenburg Is visiting hor
son Robert Coffman; her home is In
Klumath Kalis now.
Only three weeks more of school

The Independence Creamery of
Medford, who has a branch place in
Central Point under the management
of M'r, Hen Little, closed their estab
lishment, here some few days ago,
and transferred Mr. Little to Med
ford.
Mr. and Mrs. W. K. Alexander, who
spent the past several months in
southern California, returned to their
home here I'Yiduv morning. Mr. Alex
ander was brought back a verv sick
man, and while he is better at this
writing be is still critically ill and
his many friends here are greatly
concerned about him ami earnestly
hoping that soon he will begin to show
marked improvement, and will be on
the road to complete recovery.
