"Tanlac is a Kiand medicine, anil 1
think every suffer ins woman ouht to
know aliout it," was the statement
made recently by Airs. An run; Bar

Ktreet, Manchester, New Hampshire.
Mrs. Harrette, is a well known and
highly respected resident of ihat city.
"I have not felt at all well for the
past year or more," sin; continued, "I
haven't been sick enough to be in
bed, but I was far from heiiiK a well
woman. At times i thought 1 had
Kidney trouble, fin 1 suffered almost
constantly from severe pains across
my back, just over the Sidneys. When
ever I tried to do any house-work at
all that dull pain would be there, and
if I attempted to stoop ovei .t just
felt as though my baek would break.
I would pet so weak and worn out
1 would have to down and rest
several times a day, and I felt tired
all the time.
"This condition made mn awfully
nervous, so t liai I ra rely ever slept
well at niKh t, and every now and
then 1 would jump in my sleep, as if
in a fright , and my com! it ion was
really becoming serious.
"Only two bottles of Tanlac have
brought about a wonderful change in
my condition. In fart, the results I
have received from t his medieine
have really surprised me. Those ter
rible pains in my back which used to
trouble me every day have almost
disappeared, and I am tfoinn to keep
on taking Tanlac until they leave me
entirely. 1 have lots of energy now,
and am not only aide to do my house
work, but I ;:et through the day with
out feeling the leas) bit tired. I am
no longer nervous like 1 was. and 1
sleep well at niht.
"1 shall always be thankful for
what Tanlac has done for me."
Tanlac is sold in Med ford at West

WASIlkNCTUN", April lis. Jap

to have been annihilated and several
hundred Japanese residents, includ

The Japanese statement said the

get at the real state of affairn, but
tiiat it was evident that a serious
""upheaval" had taken place.
Ktforts of the Japanese to dispatch
a military relief expedition into the
district have failed because of the
ice.
Meantime, however, the Japanese
have sent an expedition to Alexan

ships Mikasa and Mishima. The
forces reached their destination April

in that district, safe. Most of them
were taken aboard the Mikasa.

Why You Should Buy Gnaranteedl Roofing
When j'ou buy roofing you
wan durability as well as shelt
er. You want to know that it
will last long enough to make
its average cost per year a
reasonable figure.
That is why Certain-teed should
appeal to you. For, when prop
erly laid, Certain-teed Roofing is
guaranteed for 5, 10 or 15 years,
according to weight.
The guarantee adequately pro
tects your investment, but it does
not accurately measure Certain
teed's life. In fact no one knows
just how durable Certain-teed
is, because in no case haa it
ever been known to woi.r out
on the roof.
And Cerf!i.in-teed is more than
durable. It is weather-proof,
fire-retarding- and spark-proof.
It effectively shelters your
property.
With all these advantages, Certain-teed
Roofing costs less to
buy, less to lay arid less to
maintain, than any other type of
good roofing.
See your dealer about Certain
teed. He either has it or can
get it quickly from a nearby
Certain-teed distributing center.
