Because of the freight embargo
due to the switchmen's strike the
farm bureau exchange has two cur
loads of hogs held up that were to be
shipped last Saturday, one here and
the other at Grants Pass. Roland
Flaharty, manager of the exchange,
learned of the embargo Saturday in
time to prevent all but three of the
lt)t hogs to be shipped in the .Med
ford ar from being brought to Med
tord, but the Grants Pass car was
loaded before word was received and
the hogs aro being fed there by the
bureau exchange until they can be
shipped. And hog feed Is $70 a ton.
